A Nautical Inspired Shoot With Vintage Details

Today’s beautiful nautical wedding inspiration is quite a special feature for me. A styled shoot set against the backdrop of beautiful Clovelly, an historical village not far from where I live. Not only was it created by the lovely team at Blue Fizz Events but the project  put their intern Jasmine at the helm, giving her the opportunity to really channel her creativity and the skills they’ve taught her – how wonderful!

From Tracy at Blue Fizz Events: We wanted the images of the bride and groom to portray, a fun loving young couple newly married and very much in love with each other as well as the scenery of Clovelly…

We were thrilled to have the opportunity to style a wedding shoot using a theme of ‘Nautical’ at the chosen location of Clovelly Harbour. Working along side Emma, the Bridal co-ordinator for both hotels in the village, she gave BlueFizz the go-ahead to work alongside her in this idyllic location. We set to work sourcing a brilliant team of creative experts to deliver this nautical themed event, thought up by our intern Jasmine Palmer. Our photographer, Heidi White, loved this theme and couldn’t wait to come on board.

Jasmine created several inspirational boards for the team to work from, with a colour palette of red, white and navy and this created a beautiful ensemble against the back-drop of the beautiful Clovelly harbour. We used elegant wedding invitations, hand crafted by Natasha Cooper of Strawberry Fields – using the signature tourist attraction of the harbour boats. Alongside this we brought together all of the elements and styled them into the context of the theme and the stunning scenery of Clovelly and this includes the Summerhouse, the Court House, the harbour and the Red Lion Hotel.

The Blue Fizz team were also kind enough to send us their concept board which shows the through-line of inspiration to reality – a wonderful way to work when planning your wedding scheme too!

There’s a lovely nostalgic feel to this shoot – quite magical…and very serene. Makes me feel very blessed to live in such a stunning part of the UK…

Do you find yourself swooning over nautical wedding style?
