English Heritage Opulance For A Luxe Boho Bride

We seem to have inadvertently created a colour theme to this weeks posts and I am very pleased with the happy coincidence, especially as it showcases how beautifully one colour can work in a number of  schemes if you work with varying shades and textures. Today’s breath-taking inspiration does just that. A shoot that artfully portrays how a traditional English heritage style can be very current and directional paired with the right couple and the right design – an eclectic mix of loveliness!

Here’s what stylists Blue Fizz Events had to say about the shoot:We were thrilled to have the opportunity to style a wedding shoot for English Heritage at their chosen location of Cleeve Abbey. Working alongside Claire Bowring who provided the introduction, we set to work at sourcing a fabulous team to deliver the theme of an Autumn Boho bride, as chosen by Linus of Linus Moran photography.

Having created an inspiration board for the team to work with, we developed the muted colour palette of Autumn plums, greens and neutrals, adding texture for definition and interest. We used the English Heritage designer throw (as donned by our model Kelly in some of the images) as central focus – bringing together the styling elements and putting them into the context of the stunning backdrop of Cleeve Abbey.

Our table setting evokes a rustic elegance and reflects the history of the building – we selected timeless pieces, authentic and original, natural, elegant. We wanted the images of the bride and gro0m to portray an elegance with a little drama – a bride mindful of her environment, connecting with it, reflecting the beauty of a historic period in time – Linus captures this beautifully behind the lens.

♥ I want to just mention here, whilst your minds are still on these stunning images that models Kelly & Gavin are actually getting married this weekend. Ain’t that something? Oh what a spectacular day it’s sure to be ♥

Bridget & Tracy from Blue Fizz Events were also kind enough to share their lovely mood board with me – by way of showcasing how inspiration took them to the reality. Planning Brides – I thoroughly recommend doing this, it’s such a fantastic way to hone ideas – manage expectations and is a wonderful point of reference for your wedding suppliers. If you haven’t already – set yourself up with a Pinterest account, you’ll have your wedding ideas put together in no time!
