Today’s stunning feature comes courtesy of Rebecca Douglas Photography who worked with a fabulous team to create “Golden” a boudoir shoot showcasing the incredible Ell & Cee lingerie, luxe bridal underwear. Shot at the insanely pretty Bridal Gallery Broadstairs, it was inspired by the metallics trend we are so in love with here on Juno & Joy…
From photographer Rebecca: I wanted to create some really natural boudoir shots but also create some more dramatic images with lighting. When we started shooting the bridal scene, the most beautiful light filled The Bridal Gallery and the golden look just glowed gloriously.
Here’s what inspired others from the collaboration…
Rebecca Brown Make-Up: An alternative to a blushing Spring bride is to create a glowing sun kissed feel using burnt golden tones and glitter. I wanted to create a glowing glitter eye that was seen on London fashion week catwalk show Michael Van Der Ham and adapt this to a bridal look. My key products for the eyes were Mac Pro Gold Reflects Glitter dusted over dirty orange and buffed with dirty bronze from the Mac Veluxe Pearl Fushion Shadow (brown luxe) .
The skin was prep and primed with smash box primer and strobe cream highlighting the cheek and the flawless skin look was created using Mac Face and body and finishing powder from the translucent prep and prime finishing powder . I loved the sun kiss feel using refined bronzer giving a subtle glow warm to the skin!
Flowers by SP: To create the flower ring I used rose gold wire with salmon glass beads and pale pink Lydia spray roses – for a soft romantic look, using the warmth of the rose gold metal to compliment the boudoir feel. For the handtied bouquet again I kept it soft and full of texture with soft romantic shades of deep pinks and a tied together naturally for a “just thrown together” look!
Nails by Debbie: For the finger nails and toe nails I wanted to create glitter aswell as texture so I mixed a rose gold fine glitter with acrylic powder by CND to create the strength and finished with a top layer of Essie multi dimensional top coat called “a cut above” which worked perfect as the top coat!
Jo Jo’s Hair and Beauty: Pure elegance was was what wanted to create. Using the models own soft natural blonde tones, enhanced by our team. We used our romantic visions to create gentle but full tussled curls, complimented by natural hair extensions to add a little extra length and volume. We took are inspiration from the the exquisite lace. We wanted to achieve the feel of sexy but bespoke elegance finished with a blinding shine.
Oh.My.Word. Super stylish and seriously sexy.
