A happy Tuesday to you all folks…and the mood is extra jovial in my household today for it’s my son’s second Birthday – I’m celebrating being a mama to the most incredible and funny little boy. Feeling truly blessed.
And whilst we’re in the mood for blessings and celebrations, today’s offering packs quite a pretty punch! An international real wedding feature all the way from sunny Southern USA, former America’s Next Top Model contestant Samantha and her beau Austin created a stylish DIY wedding day. Vintage inspired and featuring family heirlooms against a soft and romantic blush palette’s seriously swoon-worthy stuff! Captured beautifully by J.Woodbery Photography, have a peek…
From Bride Samantha: When I thought of my wedding to Austin I wanted it to be intimate with people who we loved and who only wanted great things for us! I knew I wanted a vintage theme, but really I just wanted to use things that Austin and I loved and I wanted to incorporate family heirlooms. I decided to use pieces of my mother’s vintage and heirloom glass for the flower centerpieces, and the rest of my inspiration grew from my dress. The moment I saw it I knew that we would have a intimate vintage southern wedding full of lots of our favorite sweets, glass Coke bottles and BBQ Sliders from our Local BBQ Pit.
My favorite moment of the day was turning the corner with my Dad walking me down the aisle in the church I have grown up in, and finally seeing Austin for the first time that day…
And my advice to brides planning their weddings is to remember to not get too consumed in details and planning a big party that you forget the main thing, which is your marriage. Also, don’t stress too much about the little things. Some things won’t get done, but you won’t even notice come wedding day!
Another personally styled day that oozes elegance and charm. The colour palette is divine and didn’t Samantha look incredible? Quite the “model” Bride.
