Happy Wednesday! To those perhaps joining us for the first time – welcome and congratulations for I guess this might mean you said “yes” to a very special question over the festive period.
I happen to have taken a bit of a blogging break over the past week and figured it would be nice to kick off the New Year on here by putting together a post about Juno & Joy and what you can expect from us as one of the many creative places your can come and hang-out during your wedding planning journey…
We’re still in our infancy as a blog, having only launched towards the end of February 2014 and have barely scratched the surface of our pretty plans! In 2015 you can expect more of the same mind-blowing inspiration from the crème de la crème of the wedding world, as well as adding to our wedding suppliers expert panel The Collective, offering yet more seasonal and innovative content in our Flower Guide and some extremely exciting collaborations and expansion projects yet to be announced! Phew I’m exhausted already…
Last year we pushed boundaries with much of the inspiration showcased and not one to shy away from the risqué there are plenty more incredible wedding related concepts scheduled to be showcased soon. From neon boudoir and bathtub brides to opulent feather headpieces and a bee-keeping couples shoot, here is just a snippet of what Juno & Joy was privileged enough to feature last year:
I also welcomed my first sponsors on board; White Stag Wedding Photography, Kate Cullen Creative Styling & Design, Frances Carlisle Photography, Emily Johnson Photography and The Big Domain – all individuals/companies I have gotten to know personally and all I am willing to vouch for as highly talented experts in their field. Make sure you check them out – you can click on their banners (right hand sidebar) to be taken directly to their websites…Your very welcome 🙂
In January the lovely Lauren joined the team as a blogging bride-to-be offering in-the-moment perspective of wedding planning, expertly captured in her beautiful writing. And my co-blogger Jo took leave to have her first child – gorgeous Max who’s already stealing the hearts of many!
Where Juno & Joy is slightly different from other wedding blogs is that whilst I do adore publishing them, the emphasis isn’t on solely showcasing real weddings. As a creative myself my main aim is to inspire and to do it in such a way that the idea – however seemingly different/off-the-wall/ground-breaking – can be easily translated for a wedding celebration…whether it’s a colour scheme, design scheme an outfit…attainable yet uncompromising style. So real weddings, styled shoots, wedding films, engagement shoots, mood boards, trend alerts and more makes up the content on here…design led and lovely we hope!
The blog has inadvertently adopted the mantra “be your own icon” and I think it’s so befitting of my vision for it going forward. Make confident choices if they’re reflective of you as both an individual and couple. Be bespoke. Be bold. And above all, be happy.
Here’s to 2015!
