I did wonder whether I should go ahead and publish today’s post for the designer Krikor Jabotian is somewhat of an international man of mystery to me. So exclusive is his work I’ve struggled to find any kind of price point for his gowns (around £7,000 from what I’ve gleaned via international magazine features) or stockists outside the Middle East…though the announcement of an audience with Mr Jabotian taking place in Paris this week tells me he’s looking to break into the worldwide bridal market. So this serves as a “watch this space” introduction to his work.
Having trained under Ellie Saab for a number of months at the tender age of 23 this directional designer returned to his native Lebanon to explore his signature style which is highly theatrical, innovative and incredibly inspiring. I’m a fan of all his past and present collections – every single gown is utterly breath-taking. He knows women well and he knows how to dress us to ensure we exude femininity, strength and romance…a formidable combination indeed. With the current collection entitled “Amal” meaning “Hope” in Arabic, you’re sure to feel inspired by the awesome beauty of Krikor Jabotian Couture:
And here are my highlights from Krikor Jabotian SS14 collection…so utterly incredible I could scream with bridal delight. Reminiscent of Greek Goddess’s or suchlike…”Game of Throne” fans, eat your heart out…
Oh you’re so welcome!
And make sure you have a browse of his Little Misses collection for Flower Girl loveliness…you’ll get serious womb glow!
