Today’s real wedding feature is a wonderful example of “couples shots” – that special time within your wedding day where you slope off away from your guests to spend and hour or so with your photographer…or do you?
More and more I’m hearing of brides and grooms choosing to forgo this part of proceedings, worried that if they spend a moment away from celebrations they may miss some party action – well take it from me – a sceptical Bride who wobbled about the very same; couples shots are a pivotal part of your wedding day…an opportunity to take stock, catch your breath and stare into the eyes of your beloved, whispering a few sweet nothings under your breath to each other and truly relaxing in front of the lens – ensuring some small beautiful moments of a day that passes all-too-quickly is captured forever.
Martyn and Dominique’s day looks full of those stolen glances and hushed sentiments. Their wedding scheme was artfully planned to compliment the venue, The Swettenham Arms, vintage inspired wedding room and the surrounding lavender meadow – a picture perfect backdrop for their time spent with photographer Daniel Hough…
From Bride Dominique: “We had a vintage inspired wedding with flowers and decorations in the colours of ivory, silver, white and peach. The wedding room was decorated with bird cages, jam jars and vintage accessories. Seasonal flowers were used as well as roses in white, ivory and peach.”
I love that their wedding scheme complimented their surroundings – the colours work perfectly, don’t you think?
