Simply styled and brimming with personal touches Chris and Joey’s wedding oozes elegance. Captured beautifully by Rebecca Roundhill Photography it showcases a soft spring wedding palette that’s feminine and romantic, so befitting of the beautiful Devon venue, The Great Barn.
From bride Joey: We wanted to reflect the beautiful countryside that Joey grew up in as we both absolutely love it there. We chose the venue because it was on the edge of Dartmoor National Park where Chris proposed and surrounded by gorgeous rolling hills and scenery. We both want to move to the country once we are finished with London!
Personal & pretty details
Flower girl was my neice who was just adorable in her little dress. My Auntie played the beautiful organ music in the Church and Dad drove me there in an old Nissan Figaro which Chris later drove us back down to the Great Barn in.
Photographer Rebecca Roundhill also photographed my sisters wedding and is becoming a family tradition! Chris handmade all the favours which were individual bottles of sloe gin, toffee vodka or limoncello. The large light up J&C letters for the dancefloor were made by my Dad and we left a basket of flipflops for dancing feet in the evening, all tied up in ribbons by the dancefloor!
Adore how personal the celebration was, from the handmade details and “friendly” entertainment to Joey being driven to church by her Dad – how lovely. Rebecca Roundhill is quite the storyteller.
