A little love nest set amid a cluster of old oaks within the incredible surroundings of Devon wedding venue Deer Park Country Hotel – what could be more romantic? Today we’ve the pleasure of showcasing the inspirational shoot curated by Venetia Norrington to launch this stunning South West wedding jewel. Rustic luxe wedding style at it’s finest, using natural elements and mixed metals, here stylist Claire explains more:
I was delighted to be styling the wedding shoot at Deer Park whose outside space is as glorious and versatile as the fabulous interior of this Georgian gem. With the stunning addition of a sumptuous Treehouse, I was inspired to create a natural, but not too rustic style, to fit the setting and in the process fell head over heels for “all things copper”. This design trend can now be found in the world of fashion and interiors – how nice to add this warming detail, which compliments the dark leafy greens of this beautiful woodland setting!
It is great to work in harmony with your chosen venue and use what’s around. Touches of artichokes represent the fresh produce grown in the walled garden and we used boughs and greenery from the abundant woodlands, which our florist created elegant swags to decorate the summer house with.
I wanted to inspire couples to create their own unique weddings with a timeless feel. We used antique dark wood furniture to add a richness and decadence, with little aspects of warm peachy tones carried through the make up palette, bridesmaids dresses and stationery. Using the best local suppliers and talented wedding professionals we celebrated this unique venue and all it has to offer with an understated, soft and gentle look.
We adore this simple yet elegantly impactful scheme…and the Deer Park Treehouse looks magical!
