As most of you know I’m a sucker for flowers…and it just so happens my dear friend and photographer Lucy Shergold is too. Well a couple months ago we decided to get together over breakfast and armfuls of home grown flowers (thanks Mum!)…in an attempt to hone some of the floristry skills I’ve been learning and indulge in some flower photography…but it tuned into playtime! Breakfast transformed into a mini shoot…I made a small hand-tied bouquet, we got out my great-aunt’s crockery, dressed the side-table in front of our chalkboard wall and make-believed we were bride’s having breakfast…
Colourful, seasonal UK flowers…utterly breathtaking and the house smelt amazing! In the bouquet: peony, garden roses, scabious, snapdragon, agapanthus, larkspur.
Any of you brides planning to have a special breakfast ahead of your celebrations?
