Today we’re celebrating a full 12 months since our launch and what a year it’s been! I’d have never imagined just over a year ago that I’d have come on such a journey, both professionally and personally. It was a risky move to re-brand from Boho Bride to relaunch an entirely new site…kissing goodbye to three years of content and stats, but I knew it wasn’t right to continue down a path that no longer felt “me” – if I was going to invest so much of myself into the blog, it’s content and style…there had to be more substance behind it and I had to be passionate about what I was offering – Juno & Joy is my perfect fit.
It took a while to really hone into our “tone of voice” – a process that can’t be forced but, it feels like Juno & Joy has found its place in the wedding blog industry and I now have a clear idea of who and what I can champion alongside the brand that’s being forged. For me this is summed up in three words: Personal. Stylish. Quality.
With that in mind we (team Juno HQ) will me making a few changes on here over the coming weeks and months…some chic tweaks to our general branding…and I’ll be beavering away behind-the-scenes with the aim of launching some exciting website developments sooner rather than later. More on those as plans progress…
If you’ve not already connected with us on social come and say hello over on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (admittedly I need to get better at updating the latter!) and if you happen to be a very visual person like me then come follow Juno & Joy on Pinterest…I’m always on there pinning pretty!
It’s also been wonderful to showcase the portfolios of so many immensely talented wedding suppliers, both UK and international – thank you for sharing your work! And we also currently have five sponsors, Frances Carlisle Photography, Emily Johnson Photography, The Big Domain, Kate Cullen Styling & Events and Julie Michaelsen Photography who are all delightful to work with and make my job such a pleasure.
Industry friends feel free to drop me a line email@example.com if you’ve any content ideas you’d like to work together on…you know I’m a sucker for fashion, flowers…and weddings of course! I’m planning on styling a couple shoots in London late Spring so any thoughts on collaborations welcome…and Brides if there’s inspiration you’d like to see explored, then let me know…I’m up for the challenge!
Lastly I’d just like to say thank you for supporting Juno & Joy and for championing us too…it means the world to know that our readers – both planning brides and grooms and industry friends – are spreading the word about who and what we are…
And to those who’ve been so patient with me over the past few months – some of whom I know are still awaiting email responses from many weeks ago(!)…I really appreciate the space I’ve been given to piece my heart back together. This post – this whole past year even…it’s all dedicated to my darling Dad who encouraged me to trust my instincts and follow my dreams…I’m relishing every moment.
