I was a little sceptical when Pantone announced their “Colour of the Year” 2015 as Marsala, a very strong reddish hue named after a wine of the same moniker…could it translate well within a wedding scheme? For a winter celebration sure perhaps but surely there’s no way a spring/summer bride could make the shade work…or could she…
Teamed with complimentary blue/grey hues and blush highlights you have yourself a very sophisticated and sensuous palette that can include both masculine and feminine overtones. Think strong statements and frothy layers…

Lovely piece - I too was a little underwhelmed at the idea of a reddish-brown being the main focus but it is surprisingly easy to mix with other colours as you have shown beautifully here xx
