There’s been a definite movement of late for wedding gowns in much more daring shades than the traditional ivory or white and we say hurrah!
Now I’m a bit of a super-fan of styled shoots - the perfect way to innovate and inspire - and yet, with a feature such as today’s I felt it important to show off images of “real” brides. Why? Well there’s nothing like a good dose of reality to persuade. So if you’re getting hot flushes over the idea of wearing white, don’t feel like it’s a very “you” colour of perhaps simply want to be a little different and daring, have a peek of these coloured wedding dresses - beautiful wedding style without compromise…
I only wish I’d had the confidence to explore wearing an alternative colour some three years ago…pale and pregnant, ivory didn’t seem too flattering - why oh why did I not look for another option?! …Ah, the gift of hindsight…

Oooh I just love coloured wedding gowns. I’ve got a pinterest board devoted just to dresses with colour - love them and good to see real brides wearing such fab dresses. I look rubbish in ivory so I went for a dark gold couture Sassi Holford - and I wear it again without looking like Miss Haversham - love it!
